Automation Engineer, Senior Associate

**Job Description** We are looking for a **QA Automation Engineer with around 8 years of experience** to design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions for web and/or API-based applications. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in testing concepts, hands-on automation experience, and the ability to work closely with development and product teams in an agile environment. **Key Responsibilities** * Design, develop, and maintain **automated test scripts** for web and API applications * Execute automated and manual test cases and analyze test results * Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements and define test scenarios * Create and maintain **test plans, test cases, and test data** * Identify, log, and track defects using defect management tools (JIRA or similar) * Perform **regression, smoke, and sanity testing** as part of release cycles * Participate in **Agile/Scrum ceremonies** including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives * Ensure test coverage and quality metrics are met before releases Continuously improve automation frameworks, test coverage, and testing processes **Required Skills & Qualifications** * **8+ years of experience** in QA with strong focus on **test automation** * Strong understanding of **software testing fundamentals** (STLC, SDLC, test design techniques) * Experience working with test frameworks like TestNG, Cucumber and Gauge etc. * Hands-on experience with **automation tools/frameworks** such as: + Selenium / Playwright / Cypress * Proficiency in at least one programming language: + **Java / Python / JavaScript** * Experience in **API testing** (Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools) * Knowledge of **CI/CD tools** (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.) * Experience working in **Agile/Scrum** environments * Familiarity with version control systems like **Git** * Good analytical and problem-solving skills * Strong communication and collaboration abilities **About State Street** ====================== Across the globe, institutional investors rely on us to help them manage risk, respond to challenges, and drive performance and profitability.
